A two-piece corner bench set, designed to join at the corner into a single L-shaped seating unit. Each piece features an open, pierced scrollwork panel along the backrest, carved acanthus leaves and flourishes that let light through rather than a solid back. Turned and fluted legs are joined by a carved X-stretcher with a turned finial at the center. Seats are finished in a tufted, nail-head trimmed velvet.
